Everyone has the right to live, learn and work in safety, free from abuse, harm and neglect

Pathway SkillsZone Green Man does the CentrePoint Sleepout

Pathway SkillsZone Green Man is supporting Centrepoint this December, sleeping out is simple. For one night our team are giving up the luxury of their bed and swap it for a sleeping bag on the floor.

Almost 30,000 young people are facing homelessness this winter

CentrePoint

Young people are at breaking point. Tonight, thousands of homeless young people will go to sleep feeling scared and alone, and as the nights draw in, the threat of danger on our streets is increasing. You could be the turning point today by becoming a Room Sponsor and helping a young person find safety at Centrepoint. Your monthly gifts will give homeless young people a safe, warm room to live in and genuine support, so they can start to turn their lives around.

CentrePoint challenged us to give up our bed for a sleeping bag for just one night to raise funds for hundreds of thousands of young people sleeping rough across the UK.

London Sleep Out is an opportunity to experience a night like no other whilst making a difference with friends and family.

You’ll hear about Centrepoint’s vital work throughout the evening and meet like-minded people. Then, at 11 pm, the challenge begins as you settle down to get some shut-eye outside on a cold night. The final part of the challenge comes the following day as like many of the young people we meet experiencing homelessness, you’ll go about your regular day after a difficult night’s sleep.
Each participant will be asked to raise a minimum of £275. Every participant will be equipped with all the fundraising support, advice and inspiration they need, and the Centrepoint team will be there every step of the way.

Young people need our help. The cost-of-living crisis has had a massive impact on our young people. CentrePoint research shows that 1 out of 4 vulnerable young people already survives off £20 a month. That’s £5 or less weekly to spend on food, travel and other necessities. With the additional financial burdens of rising food and energy prices, there is a real worry that youth homelessness will increase this winter.

Pathway SkillsZone Green Man raised over £1,190 to support CentrePoint on its mission to help the homeless
