Waheed is one of the Founders of Pathway Group and performed an operational role in the early days. In 2005 he relinquished operational duties to focus on his ambitions to start a domiciliary care business that he founded, that business is Nationwide Care Services Ltd

Waheed Azam is known within the Midlands region as a leading social care proprietor and a sector thought leader, Waheed is a role model for many and an example of how hard work and community values can lead to success in a business that makes a meaningful impact and difference.

Due to his success and expertise in the region and the care sector, Waheed is a much sought-after mentor for smaller and upcoming social care providers. He is actively working with Local Authority Commissioners and NHS to work towards solving the current social care crisis and working with them on a practical level to help ease the current pressures facing the social care system. Waheed is a generous caring leader who leads from the front and by example, he has personally trained hundreds of managers to grow and develop and is often supporting and mentoring people in the sector, always open to discussing opportunities.

Waheed previously worked for British Airways as lead for Cabin crew working on international flights. He has a upper second degree in Business from Staffordshire University and enjoys working with people

Waheed is a plane spotter as well as being a family man and father of 4 girls.
