National Apprenticeship Week 2022 – ‘Build the Future’

Between the 7th and 13th of February 2022, we’ll celebrate the 15th annual National Apprenticeship Week. This year’s theme is ‘Build the Future’, which continues last years celebrations. The aim is to bring light on the benefits apprenticeships can have on individuals, businesses and local communities.

The weeklong celebration will take place all across England with the purpose to encourage individuals of any age group and demographic to reach their career goals by building their skills and knowledge through an apprenticeship program.

National Apprenticeship Week is an excellent time for many to learn about the various benefits that apprenticeships can bring to employers and the broader economy. Apprenticeships provide individuals with the opportunity to build skills needed now and for the future; they also form an essential part of many organisations’ recruitment, skills and business strategies.

Employers need to showcase how they notice the return on their investment when apprentices are brought into the business. Apprenticeship programmes offer unprecedented access to skilled careers across various occupations, industries and sectors.

We want apprentices from all sectors, ages and backgrounds to get involved and share and demonstrate the positive impact of apprenticeships on their careers, families and communities.

We’re encouraging employers, providers, partners and apprentices to share any plans they may have to commemorate the impact apprenticeships can have on individuals and our great businesses and public services.

To support the National Apprenticeship Week, individuals, employers, training providers and communities can get involved by encouraging everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help Build the Future.

There is a toolkit available with more information on how apprenticeships benefit individuals, employers and the community, along with ways you can offer apprenticeships at your organisation and how to get involved in promoting apprenticeships.
