Multicultural Alliance Patrons and Partners recognised in the Kings New Years Honours List

Individuals from a number of Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance Patrons and Partners have been recognised in the Kings 1st New Years Honours list.

Laura Jane Rawlings MBE:

LJ Rawlings Chief Executive and Founder of Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance Strategic Partners Youth Employment UK has been awarded an MBE in recognition for her work and achievements through founding and leading the organisation.  

Over 12 years LJ has continued to champion the need for young people to be central to the youth employment discussion and led so much activity that has made such a difference to so many. The work of Youth Employment UK continues to be much needed, with us now having a central role in creating services for young people, helping organisations to develop good youth employment practice and supporting local and national government policy, research and insights. Congratulations to LJ for this recognition for all the tremendous work she has done in supporting youth employment.

Massive congratulations to Kathryn Marshall, LJ Rawlings and Mel Kose for their incredible achievements and recognition for all they have done in the sector that has had so much positive impact to thousands of individuals.

Mel Kose MBE:

We are delighted to share exciting news that our incredible colleague, Mel Kose, Senior Emerging Talent manager at British Airways, patrons of the Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance has been awarded an MBE for Services to Early Careers in Aviation. This prestigious award recognises Mel’s outstanding efforts in supercharging our award-winning emerging talent programmes and creating employment opportunities for young people across the UK.

Since joining British Airways as an apprentice in 2012, Mel has been responsible for engaging with and inspiring more than 175,000 young people to consider a career in aviation, enabling them to pursue their ambitions. Congratulations to Mel on this fabulous achievement and for all the young lives she has changed for the better.

Kathryn Marshall MBE:

Congratulations to Kathryn Marshall, Senior Manager Apprenticeships at Lloyds Banking Group who has been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List for her services to Further Education and Skills. Lloyds Banking Group are patrons of the Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance.

As Senior Manager for Apprenticeships, Kathryn is a driving force in providing opportunities for young people across the UK to positively shape the trajectories of their lives and careers. Wonderful and well deserved recognition for all the impact Kathryn has had in the sector.
