“Providing skills development programme that includes a work experience placement”

Our Careers Creator programme provides work experience and skills that unlocks the great potential of young people aged 16-to-24, and prepares them for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’.

At its core are a high-quality work experience placement, work preparation training, and English and maths if needed, giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for, and helping them secure an apprenticeship or other job in the future.

So you’ve decided to recruit new talent…

Our Careers Creator programme provides work experience and skills that unlock the great potential of young people aged 16-to-24 and prepares them for their future careers by helping them become ‘work ready’.

At its core are a high-quality work experience placement, work preparation training, and English and maths if needed, giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for and helping them secure an apprenticeship or other job in the future.

Offering work experience to young people through Careers Creator can open the door to a rewarding relationship with young people in your community, seeing if they’re right for an apprenticeship or job in the business.

Programmes are designed to suit the needs of the young person and the business, which will help develop current employees’ experience in training and mentoring.

We’ll support you in recruiting new talent for the business while providing a pipeline of emerging talent looking to kickstart their careers.

Many of our employer partners take on some of the young people they have worked with on a work experience placement, progressing their training with an apprenticeship or developing their skills in-house.

How does it work?

We’re here to help you plan the work experience placement to ensure it meets the needs of the business and provides a meaningful experience for the young person.

Our experienced advisors will mentor and coach the young person so you can be sure they are prepared for their time with the business.

Once the work experience placement is finished, all we ask is you provide constructive feedback and advice to the young person and offer:

  • An interview for an apprenticeship or job in your business at the end of the traineeship, if one is available
  • An exit interview at the end of the traineeship with written feedback if no job is available.
