Pathway Group are committed to encouraging education and promoting training prospects by matching the needs of individuals, businesses and their communities.

Pathway have shown their support for the CVQO educational charity that sponsors youth movements to enable them to obtain vocational qualifications. Pathway was in attendance at the event held at the City of Derby ATC squadron, where a number of cadets were presented with qualification certificates in Teamwork, and Personal Skills and Citizenship.

Edward Woods, CVQO CEO, said: “It is fitting that the cadets who have achieved this qualification have been presented with their certificates at City of Derby squadron. We’re very grateful for those who supported the cause. Many congratulations to the cadets who have been presented with their CVQO-led BTEC Level 1 Certificate.”

These figures support the government initiatives to up-skill the workforce through apprenticeship programmes as a viable solution for rising to youth unemployment. Figures support this trend, with 3,700 learners taking up higher apprenticeships in the 2011/2012 academic year, which was a rise of 68% since the previous year.
