Skills Support
The Pathway Group has been successful in its bid as a delivery partner to deliver Skills Support for the Workforce in the Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP) areas. We have successfully won a delivery contract in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP area. This will see us deliver vocational training in specific sectors. Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) have had a vital role to play in determining the effective use of European funding, identifying the skills priorities for their locality. This has ensured that the funding is used to specifically address the needs of the specific workforce in each LEP. The LEP in the West Midlands has identified the following occupational areas as skills priorities for the area, and these are the sectors in which Pathway is able to support you to develop your workforce are: Advanced Manufacturing, Low Carbon Technologies and Renewables, Creative and Design sector, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism. The contract is designed to support Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) (i.e. those employing less than 250 employees) to meet the skills needs of their workforce. It will support already employed individuals, especially young adults (aged 19 and over) to:- Enhance their skills to become more effective in the labour market
- Advance their career prospects.
- Help small employers grow and strengthen the local economy.
- have employees 19 years or over who do not poses qualifications above level 2.
- Employ less than 250 employees
