Dudley College proudly unites with Birmingham Pride: Fostering Inclusion and Diversity in Education

On Saturday 27th May 2023, Dudley College, patron of the Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance, was honoured to participate in the vibrant and empowering celebration of Birmingham Pride. As one of the largest LGBTQ+ event, Birmingham Pride attracts over 40,000 people throughout the weekend.

The event provided a platform for the college to showcase its commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equality while celebrating the progress of LGBTQ+ rights and acknowledging the work still needed to create a truly accepting society.

For them, attending Birmingham Pride was more than just participation in a community event; it was an opportunity for the staff from the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to stand proudly and visibly represent their identities. This representation is vital as it fosters a sense of belonging and empowers students and employees alike, showing them that their college values and supports their diversity.
