Universal Job match, the new job posting and matching service now forms an integral part of the Job Centre Plus service. The service was launched by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). It aims to help both jobseekers and employers by increasing the pace of the recruitment process.

Searching for work is made easy, through a simple registration process which enables users to upload and build CV\’s that will then be matched automatically to suitable vacancies.

What’s unique about the service is that it identifies skill gaps on the users CV and signposts them to gain support to fill these gaps. Jobseekers can opt to receive job alerts when a vacancy meets their search criteria, through email notifications. Moreover, the site has accessibility options to ensure ease of access to all users.

Our Pathway2Work division is pleased to introduce the Universal Jobmatch service to jobseekers, and encourage clients to visit our branches in Birmingham or Walsall. Our advisors offer expert guidance, training and job search facilities to ensure that job seekers have the required knowledge to use this new service, and aim to offer any help and support to aid in their job search efforts.

For those interested in Apprenticeship programmes, there is a new iPhone and Andriod App available to search for Apprenticeship vacancies called AV Search. The FREE App, which can be downloaded from the iTunes and Android app stores and is ad free, is primarily targeted at 16 to 24 year-olds and potential apprentices aged 25 and over.
