Teen Relationship Abuse

Love Shouldn’t Hurt

Abuse doesn’t only happen in adult relationships. More teenagers than ever are reporting controlling, jealous, or sexually coercive partners. What starts as “romantic attention” can quickly become harmful.

What You Can Do:

  • Talk about consent, respect, and red flags early.

  • Challenge media portrayals that romanticise control or obsession.

  • Give young people safe ways to talk about relationships—without shame.
