Switching on Pathway SkillsZone Burslem Academy

We’re striving to reduce the digital gap and has opened an IT Suite area for our learners of all of our programmes to use.

Our improvements at our Pathway SkillsZone Burslem Academy continue, with investment into our IT suite, providing learners with the opportunity to schedule access to one of the six new workstations without any fee and complete their job search requirements along with their training.

We’re also supporting those who need assistance with IT skills with a variety of qualifications. We’re commited to providing excellent social value to the community and help those struggling with digital poverty. A 2018 government report found that in the UK:

11.3 million people (21%) lack the full basic digital skills
4.3 million (8%) have no basic digital skills at all
5.4 million working adults (10%) are without basic digital skills

People with a registered disability are 4 times as likely to be offline
