A.D., a care leaver, joined the Futures 4 All programme with Pathway Group to enhance his employability skills and gain qualifications that would help him secure an apprenticeship. A.D. faced several barriers to learning, including a lack of prior formal education and the need to improve his English language skills.

The Progress Coach helped A.D. identify his career goals, which included starting a career as a mechanic. With the dedicated support of his Progress Coach, A.D. successfully enrolled in a Functional Skills Course at West Thames College. This course is designed to help him improve his English and Math skills, which are essential for his progression into an apprenticeship. A.D.’s commitment to his studies and the support he received have significantly boosted his confidence and prepared him for the next steps in his career.
