
The Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technology has been designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in the engineering sector, including occupations and job roles such as maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer, welder and/or fabricator, and electrical and/or electronic engineer.
Course Content
The Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and Technology is a Vocational Related Qualification. This programme comprises of a pathway related to rail engineering and is suitable for those individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the rail engineering sector. You do not have to be currently in the industry.
You will complete 2 x mandatory units, comprising of –
- Engineering and environmental health and safety
- Organisational efficiency and improvement
You will then complete 6 x optional units, related to the railway pathway.
The course is a blend of tutor-led sessions, workshops, tutorials, assessed practical work and co-ordinated self-study through a range of support materials and industry expertise. The focus of the programme is to develop highly relevant and valuable practical skills using industry expertise and facilities
