Connecting Worlds

An inspiring and transformative pen pal project that aims to bridge cultural gaps and foster global connections among learners from different corners of the world. The incredible opportunity to correspond with students in Kenya, sharing experiences, ideas, and perspectives in a meaningful exchange of letters.

Going beyond the traditional penpal concept

Designed to enrich our learners’ educational journey, allowing them to develop their Functional Skills and cultural capital uniquely and engagingly.

Participation in this project, our learners not only enhance their written communication skills but also gain valuable insights into Kenya’s rich heritage, diverse traditions, and vibrant culture.

In the age of emails, tweets, and texts it’s nice to receive a “real letter”

True learning happens when we step out of our comfort zones and embrace new experiences

Through this pen pal initiative, our learners will have the opportunity to explore the world through a different lens, challenge their preconceptions, and foster empathy and understanding towards other cultures and ways of life.

Writing and receiving letters from their Kenyan counterparts, our learners will not only build lasting friendships but also expand their horizons, broaden their worldviews, and develop a greater appreciation for the diversity and interconnectedness of our global community.

Inviting our learners to embrace this incredible opportunity, as “Connecting Worlds” opens doors to new friendships, shared knowledge, and the exploration of cultures that will shape their understanding of the world and empower them to become global citizens.

Together, let us embark on this journey of connection and discovery, fostering bonds that transcend borders and enrich the lives of our students in ways we could never have imagined.
