Team Leading Level 2

If you want to take your first steps into management, or are already on the first rung of the ladder in your journey, then the Team Leading apprenticeship is ideal for you to develop your leadership skills, and learn the basics of management and leading teams in a number of environments.
Aswell as learning the basics of management and the skills and techniques involved in leading a team of people, this is a great programme to upskills yourself in maths, English and ICT also.

Structure of apprenticeship
Mandatory units:
• Lead and manage a team
• Manage personal performance and development
• Principles of team leading
• Understand business
• Communicate work-related information

Optional units include:
• Manage team performance
• Manage individuals performance
• Manage conflict within a team
• Chair and lead meetings
• Contribute to meetings in a business environment

Assessment
You will develop technical knowledge and will show competence through work activities. Assessments involves observation of the duties carried out and a range of other methods; including witness statements, professional discussions and reflective accounts, written reports and computer based assignments in the work place. You will work with your assessor to gain a work based qualification and will work with an electronic portfolio that enables you to demonstrate your skills practically.

Management Level 3

If you have progresses onto the managerial career ladder, or have been a manager for a while and want to learn and develop new skills then this is the programme for you.  Covering all aspects of middle management from recruitment to disciplinary’s, and planning projects to delivering, this programme is ideal for honing those skills you have learned from completing a level 2 in Team Leading.

Gaining further skills in English, maths and ICT completes the programme allowing you to take your new found skills into the workplace.

Structure of apprenticeship

  • Manage own professional development within an organisation
  • Set objectives and provide support for team members
  • Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team

Optional units include:

  • Manage personal development
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements
  • Know how to follow disciplinary procedures
  • Plan and manage a project
  • Develop and implement marketing plans
  • Analyse the market in which your organisation operates
  • Provide leadership and direction for own area of responsibility

Assessment

Leadership & Management Level 5

For those that have an established career in management and are venturing into the world of strategic management, utilizing a number of management techniques and styles, then this programme is exactly what you need to enhance and embed those skills into your working life.  Undertaking projects and tasks to self-develop your own skills under the guidance of a fully qualified and experienced high level management trainer you will unlock your own skills in strategic management and be able to implement these into your daily life.
